The Giannis Antetokounmpo saga is over. And he’s headed to the Heat.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Bucks have agreed to trade Antetokounmpo and veteran forward Bobby Portis to Miami in a blockbuster deal centered around Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kasparas Jakucionis and a massive package of draft assets.

The reported return also includes the No. 13 overall pick in this week’s NBA Draft, unprotected first-round picks in 2031 and 2033, a 2030 pick swap and a 2033 second-round pick.

Just like that, one of the most significant trades in recent NBA history is complete.

For Miami, it’s the move the franchise has been chasing for years.

The Heat finally land the superstar they believe can return them to championship contention and pair Antetokounmpo with Bam Adebayo in what instantly becomes one of the league’s most imposing frontcourts.

As for Milwaukee, the organization officially turns the page.

The Bucks reportedly chose Miami’s package over a competing offer from Boston that would have been centered around Jaylen Brown. Instead, Milwaukee opted for a younger group built around Herro, Ware, Jaquez and Jakucionis, along with significant draft capital.

It’s a clear signal that the Bucks are prioritizing long-term flexibility and future assets rather than trying to remain an immediate contender.

According to Charania, the trade is currently structured as a direct deal between Milwaukee and Miami, though both teams will wait until July 6 to formally execute it. That leaves open the possibility of additional teams becoming involved before the transaction is finalized.
